Yarrow Stadium available for Mitre 10 Cup

Yarrow Stadium will be the home ground for the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls for the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup. The stadium owner, the Taranaki Stadium Trust, has confirmed the terraces are safe to use however both stands will be out of action for the rugby matches.

The stadium owner, the Taranaki Stadium Trust, says geotechnical testing on the stadium’s West Stand showed the ground stability of the bank beneath it was a significant earthquake risk. The stadium’s East Stand was earthquake prone.

We apologise to our hirers, the players and the fans who have been inconvenienced but we are pleased the stadium can be used and are working alongside Taranaki Rugby to ensure a positive experience for all.

It’s too early to talk about the Stadium's future beyond this rugby season. The Stadium owner, the TST, is considering the next steps.
