NP Partners Presents Darklight: The Hidden World, an acclaimed immersive light and sound experience taking over the TSB Showplace these September school holidays. See every corner transformed into vivid worlds of light and sound.

Where light comes alive

This is no ordinary event. Spaces shift and respond as you move through them. Explore luminous gardens, play beneath reflective pools, and journey out into the cosmos, with surprises along the way.

Showing outside of Auckland for the first time, this is your chance to experience a world-class indoor light and sound takeover at Taranaki’s premier events venue.

For curious minds of all ages

It may be on during the school holidays, but Darklight is just as memorable for adults. Enjoy a unique night out with friends, grab refreshments at the bar in the Theatre Royal Lounge from 5pm, then explore and see what unfolds.

Plan your visit

• Suitable for all ages
• Book a start time, then explore at your own pace. Allow at least one hour
• Walk-up tickets available for sessions not yet sold out
• Visit the Kandy Bar to fuel your journey. The Theatre Royal Lounge bar opens at 5pm
• All spaces are accessible to visitors with limited mobility, with lift access and an alternative route available to ensure no one misses out on the magic
• Pram parking is encouraged in our dedicated indoor space. There is plenty for little ones to explore and play with at this event!
