The Beach Boys' Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band

One of the most iconic voices in music is heading to Winter Fest!

Al Jardine, founding member of The Beach Boys and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee brings, The Pet Sounds Band to TSB Stadium on 8 July 2026 for a high-energy celebration of The Beach Boys’ iconic catalogue.

This is the only North Island show on their New Zealand tour, making it a rare chance to experience a true music legend right here in New Plymouth.

Expect the songs that defined generations, from surf rock classics to deeper cuts, including California Girls, Help Me Rhonda and Wouldn’t It Be Nice, performed by the 11-piece Pet Sounds Band, featuring Brian Wilson’s hand selected touring musicians.

Featuring Darian Sahanaja (The Wondermints) as Music Director and Matt Jardine on vocals, whose performances with The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson have earned rave reviews for capturing the spirit and sound of the original recordings.

A welcome dose of California warmth in the middle of winter, a natural fit for the region famous for its coastline and Surf Highway 45.
