Taranaki Symphony Orchestra is disappointed to advise that due to the current Covid outbreak, it is necessary to postpone Masterworks Concert in October 2021. The concert will be rescheduled and a new date announcement will follow as soon as possible. All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, however if no longer convenient, refunds will be available once the new date is announced.
Adam Jasinski, Conductor Beethoven, Brahms and Weber. Hear some of the greatest works of the great masters of the Romantic era as Adam Jasinski conducts the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra in his finale concert as their Music Director. Helene Pohl, leader of the New Zealand String Quartet, appears as soloist in the magnificent Beethoven Violin Concerto, one of the finest in the violin repertoire. Brahms' mighty Third Symphony and Weber's Euryanthe Overture complete the programme in what will be a spectacular night of music. The orchestra will be joined by guest players from around the region to do justice to the scale of these great works and to farewell in appropriate style the maestro of 23 years.
